Ranch Friday Night Lights is back for it's sisxth year starting Friday August 20th. Your favorite local Varsity High School Teams: Royal, Simi Valley, and Moorpark High Schools will once again take the Gridiron. Tune in each week as veteran announcers Tom West and Dave Wheeler will once again call the games for The Ranch. West will handle the play-by-play and Wheeler will provide color commentary.
Tom West, a longtime resident of Ventura County, is an award-winning broadcaster with 25 years of experience. He teaches in the Simi Valley Unified School District and coached football for over 15 years. Dave Wheeler is a former teacher who coached football at both Simi and Royal high schools. He has lived in Moorpark for 31 years.

Tom West - Play by Play Announcer
Tom graduated from California Lutheran College (now UNIVERSITY) and was a 4 year member of the football team earning All-District Honors during NAIA National Championship Season. He was Tri-Captain along with current Dallas Cowboys' Defensive Coordinator, Rod Marinelli and former NFL Linebacker, Brian Kelley. A long-time teaching professional in the Simi Valley Unified School District, he coached football at Simi Valley, Royal and Cal Lutheran for over 15 years. West is an award winning play-by-play broadcaster for football, basketball, baseball, softball, track and field, boxing and volleyball with 25 years of sports broadcasting experience on radio, Cable Television and Live Internet Stream. He is a 47 year resident of Ventura County.
Dave Wheeler - Color Commentator / Announcer
Dave Wheeler is an ex-teacher and coach, coaching football at both Simi and Royal Highs. He is now in the Title Insurance industry working as Sales Manager for Consumer's Title in Westlake. He and his wife Charlie have lived in Moorpark for 31 years where their daughter, Marnie and son, Wes attended Moorpark High. He has partnered with Tom West in sports broadcasting for over twenty years as the color commentator to Tom's play-by-play announcing.
Taleia Gilliam - On Field Reporter
Taleia Gilliam is currently a performer-educator through Kaiser Permanente's Educational Theatre Program. A graduate of Marymount Manhattan College with a degree in Communications and Theatre Arts, her resume expands across the country. With a passion for performance and sports, she has worked with NBA team, New York Knicks and major record label, SonyMusic BMG, along with voiceover credits and co-creation of the podcast "MarthaNMary". She is thrilled and excited to join the "Friday Night Lights" team this season at 99.1 The Ranch.
Brad Gandel - Statistics
Brad has lived in Simi Valley his entire life. He grew up an all-star athlete in multiple sports continuing on to play varsity basketball and tennis at Simi Valley High School. Brad attended Moorpark College and earned his BA from UC Riverside. While at UCR, he served as the statistician for both the women and men basketball teams for radio broadcasts and interned with the Los Angeles Sparks. Brad currently works for his father at Alex Gandel Real Estate.
