American Mattress Family has been in business for over 17 years serving Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. We are a family-owned and operated Mattress Store which specializes in mattresses only. We believe in supporting locally owned and operated businesses. We work very hard to source our mattresses locally. We pride ourselves in knowing all we can about mattresses to help you make the best investment regarding your mattress and bedroom needs.

27 years ago, I started my career selling mattresses for a local competitor. After ten years of gaining experience, I realized how important a quality mattress is to a good night’s rest. I decided to venture out and open my own mattress store. I learned how important it is to listen and really understand my customer’s needs. I take pride in offering the best quality mattresses at the lowest possible prices.

As Californians, we have been through so much like fires floods, pandemics and the recession. A huge turning point for American Mattress Family was during the 2008 recession. As other companies were raising prices, we decided to lower our prices to help people through this difficult time. We worked seven days a week for seven months from seven am to seven pm to ensure all our customers would get their mattresses as ordered on time. Many of our customers are repeat customers who remember the recession and those difficult times.
